Experience the Easter holiday in Stockholm

During the Easter holiday, Stockholm blossoms with a plethora of fun activities for all ages. Take a trip to the city's fascinating museums, unleash your creativity with Easter crafts, or head out into the spring sunshine for wonderful outdoor adventures.

Visit Junibacken – With the Whole Family

Junibacken on Djurgården is a magical place for all children who love stories and tales. Join Pippi Longstocking on an adventure or take a ride through the fantastic Story Train. Here, both young and old can discover the most beloved characters from Astrid Lindgren's books and get a chance to step into the world of fairy tales.

Easter Egg Hunt on Djurgården

Why not arrange your own Easter egg hunt on Djurgården? Take the family for a walk through the beautiful park and hide small Easter eggs along the way. It's a fun and active way to celebrate Easter in Stockholm's nature. Also, take the opportunity to enjoy a picnic if the weather allows!

Hop on a Boat Tour in the Archipelago

The archipelago is a must when you are in Stockholm! During Easter, there are several lovely boat tours to some of the nearby islands. Take a trip to Vaxholm, Grinda, or one of the other beautiful islands and discover the tranquility and charm of the archipelago. A boat tour is also a wonderful way to enjoy the spring.

Try Indoor Activities like Trampoline Park or Climbing Centre

If the weather is not on your side during Easter, there are plenty of fun indoor activities to try. Why not test trampolines at a trampoline park or climb at one of Stockholm's climbing centres? It's both fun and challenging and perfect for an active family day.

National Museum – A Cultural Experience for the Whole Family

If you want to combine culture with a fun and educational experience for the whole family, then National Museum is an excellent choice during the Easter holiday! Located on Blasieholmen, right in the heart of Stockholm, the museum offers an impressive collection of art, design, and crafts.

Here, both children and adults can enjoy fascinating art exhibitions from Swedish and international artists. Many of the activities for children and families are also free.

Vasa Museum – An Exciting Adventure for All Ages

Another fantastic museum for the whole family during the Easter holiday is Vasa Museum on Djurgården. Here, you can experience one of the world's most impressive maritime historical collections – the enormous, nearly 400-year-old warship Vasa. The ship was salvaged from the depths of Stockholm's harbour in 1961 and now stands in a purpose-built museum where it is possible to get close and experience the magnificent construction.
